Our Little Princess: Weekly Update

March 18
As of a few weeks ago I realized all the nurses know me by name.  They even tease me about what size needle they will use when giving me my shot (because I asked once if they could use the bigger needle because it doesn't hurt as bad).

Today the nurse that gives me my weekly shots asked me how my trip went this weekend.  (I had called in to ask permission to drive 3 hours to the temple and 3 hours home).  It was interesting that she remembered the phone call and asked me about it today.

Today was another short visit.  Just a quick check to make sure everything was still doing well.

Dr. Wheeler walks in and makes another weird comment..."You are teasing me".  My response..."What are you talking about?"  He said that I have been teasing him for 3 months now.  He has worried about me for those 3 months for no reason.  When I came in January I had very little uterus and a baby that looked as if she wouldn't make it another few weeks.  He said he told me to go on my cruise and enjoy myself while I could because it wouldn't be too much longer.  He also said he thought it would either be heart failure or preterm labor that would get us, but neither have.

He said we aren't out of the woods just yet, but she is still growing and my uterus is holding up nicely.  She is a little more than 3 pounds now. We are still holding in there.

They have called Lutheran hospital (a local hospital here in Fort Wayne) to set up an appointment for me soon.  I will go in and see the same doctor that did my fetal echo cardiogram.  This visit, the doctor will determine where they want me to deliver.  I am not sure when this appointment will be yet, the hospital will contact me once they have a date.

Still getting my weekly progesterone shots and they will start me on the steroids for her lungs next week.  I have it scheduled for Monday and Tuesday of next week (I guess I get two different injections of steroids).  You would think this would help me get over my aversions to shots, not so lucky.
