Our Little Princess: Weekly Update

Little miss is growing very well, she is measuring exactly where she should be.  She is a little over 5 lbs now!  Dr. Wheeler said that with some heart problems most babies don't continue to grow which makes surgery a bit tricky.  He said, "But no one gave this little one the memo, she is doing great and is in great shape for surgery."

"The barn door is staying closed.  You have held up remarkably well considering the nub of a uterus you have."  Sometimes he says the weirdest things, but its all good news I guess.  :)  He can now feel her head when doing a cervical check, but didn't seem concerned about it.  I guess that just freaked me out to hear, but I have to realize I am 35 weeks 2 days pregnant.  That is a natural thing that is going to happen. 

We still don't have a date for delivery, but we do have a date to go see the doctors in Indianapolis that will be taking care of us.  We go this Wednesday, the 24th.  Dr. Wheeler said "hopefully they will be able to give you a date [for delivery].  Considering you are coming from two hours away and have a little one at home they will want to give you some sort of a plan.  Which will be nice for you because you have had to hold on for dear life this whole time without a plan.  You are doing a great job and hopefully we can get you a plan before your head explodes."

Not really anything new, hopefully we will know more on Wednesday.
